Bodies In Motion
Capturing bodies in motion engulfed Rita’s attention from her artistic start until her last strokes in a self portrait (titled: Smirk). Fascinated by the strength of one’s vibration, Rita, consumed with the goodness in people, seized that energy which became the core of her figurative works.
A subject of her own, Rita challenged her inner voice with internal conflict and resistance to openness one sees within.

Ballerinas
The art of ballet is a discipline of elegance, dignity and poise. As a young child Rita attended a French school while growing up in Egypt where she observed the movements and the grace of young ballerinas. Bringing to life each pose with pastel, stroke by stroke without forgiveness was Rita’s obsession. Divulging into her expertise created the essence that “nothing was left unsaid”.
Feminine Mystique
Reveal thyself, an opening that Rita dove into with no boundaries and nothing to hide. Coming from a culture where every woman was covered up, giving women the freedom to project their own interpretation or experiences is the core to Rita’s exceptional feminine figures. Every emotion is woven seamlessly into every curve and every detail within each composition.
Las Vegas Showgirls
The sparkle, exquisite costumes and the “grand” jubilee was the foreground to Rita’s attention from the first show. This energy transformed into an entire collection of works filled with the glitz, the glamor and the dignity to grant equality to these showgirls who once began as dancers & ballerinas. Rita grasped the courage and bravery each showgirl exuded and this is where Rita came full circle as a Master Artist.
Landscapes
Nature, a sanctuary that was deeply embedded into Rita’s being. As the eyes travel, every ounce of landscape was a place to breath and take in. A sense of belonging lived in every mountain, ocean, garden, field that tied Rita to her own exploration. Unconventional use of colors captured a scene over and over and over creating an untethered journey.
Reveries
A “world” within which all secrets were kept in Rita’s imagination. The subconscious overflowing transcended onto canvases soaked with color, insightful sentiments and a language that conveys a fascination into one’s story. An ideal transformation of life in a dreamstate.
Beaches
The pure raw coastline filled with emotions was a sanctuary to Rita that originated an entire collection of works infiltrated with colorful stories. The tenderness of the earth and the power of the ocean were the anchors to Rita’s experimentations bringing together landscapes and figurative works to one. The softness of the air, the quaint feeling, and the kindhearted are felt in each.
